NeuroTracer^® is a software product for vectorizing raster images. However, availability of the adaptive neural filter allows solving and automating some polygraphic tasks that used to be rather time- and labour consuming. Among them are removing "noise" from scanned images, preparing text reprint editions, restoring and vectorizing of engravings, reprint musical score, etc.

NeuroTracer^® employs artificial neural networks technology. Artificial neural networks simulate functioning of real neurons that comprise human brain. The technology appeared as a result of research in the area of artificial intelligence, i.e. after attempts to reproduce the ability of biological nervous systems to train and correct mistakes. Neural networks train on examples. Users of NeuroTracer^® that employs neural networks select data and run the algorithm of neural network training that recognizes data structure automatically. All data the neural network has on a specific task is contained in the set of examples. So, the quality of NeuroTracer^® neural network training depends directly on the amount of examples in the training selection as well as on the degree of completeness these examples describe the current task.
